SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS:

  • Established and supervised a middle school advisory program where students created on-line portfolios, integrating technology with core subject learning.
  • Organized and facilitated an after school athletics program.
  • Created a Reading for Charity program that enabled Grade 6 students to raise funds, and facilitate a field trip and lunch for Sudanese refugees. 

RELATED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES:

  • Supported and helped coordinate the implementation of Literacy initiatives to improve student reading skills across the K-12 spectrum, as co-chair of the Literacy Committee.
  • Served as a liaison between faculty and all levels of administration, on Faculty Advisory Committee.
  • Presented workshops on Instructional Rubrics, Gender Stereotyping and Behavior Management in a Recreational Setting.
  • Collaborated as part of the Textbook Adoption Committee, to research and select K-12 textbook materials that best suited school’s curriculum.
  • Served as a staff representative on the Parent Teacher Association.
  • Worked with special needs learners in the North Vancouver School District as a Special Education Assistant.
